Build Your Vision With Nook’s New Fabrics and Finishes
We’ve just launched a fresh collection of finishes and fabrics giving you more creative range than ever before.
The new commercial-grade laminates come in solids and woodgrains, paired with a beautiful range of fabrics inspired by nature. Warm and quiet. Light and clean. Rich and textured. Subtle or confident. However you design your palette, you can shape a Nook that fits your space.
What hasn’t changed is the heart of the product. People still step into a Nook and feel their shoulders loosen as distractions soften. Inside, conversations stay more focused. Solo work feels easier. Brains settle. Groups collaborate without competing with everything happening around them.
What has expanded is the spectrum of moods you can create. Some combinations feel soft and grounded. Others feel crisp and modern. Some lean warm. Others lean cool. And because Nooks are modular, you can build clusters where each pod has its own personality while still feeling connected.
You can design a Nook that sits quietly inside a library, one that adds a pop of color to a school hallway, one that lifts a corner of an office, or one that brings calm to a healthcare setting. Every material choice shifts the atmosphere in its own way.
If you want to experiment, the Nook Configurator is the quickest place to start. Choose a Nook shell, try the new finishes, and watch how it changes as you swap fabrics and laminates. It’s simple and surprisingly satisfying. If you build out projects in KiSP, Nook is already there. Grab the specs, explore the new finishes, and drop the pods straight into your plans.
Dive Deeper into the New Palettes
Just, designed by Cenk Kivrikoglu for Gabriel, is a minimalist two-tone textile with a soft, matte surface that reads like a natural fiber. The palette is understated and modern, giving you options that slip easily into warm, cool, or neutral schemes. It’s made from 100% post-consumer recycled polyester and meets Möbelfakta requirements (crafted for contract-grade durability, produced with environmental care, and made under responsible labor standards).
Mica, created by designer Inger Mosholt Nielsen for Gabriel, is a two-tone crepe textile with a subtle melange that adds quiet depth without overwhelming a palette. The stretch and structure make it easy to work with on both upholstery and panels, and the full color range gives you options that feel refined, grounded, or softly dimensional. It’s also made from 100% recyclable polyester and meets Möbelfakta requirements.
The new laminate palette spans thirty finishes, giving you far more room to shape the personality of a Nook. The selection includes a mix of Formica options across Grade 2 and Grade 3 HPL solids as well as Grade 3 HPL woodgrains, alongside a curated set of Egger surfaces with warm woodgrains and clean, modern solids. Together, they create a spectrum that moves from light and airy to deep and grounded, from subtle neutrals to more defined tones. Whether you want a pod that quietly supports a space or one that introduces a bit of contrast, the range makes it easy to find a finish that fits your vision.
