Nook Featured in METROPOLIS 2026 Neuroinclusive Design Product Guide

Being included by METROPOLIS in their 2026 Neuroinclusive Design Product Guide, among the solutions helping shape more neuroinclusive spaces means a lot to us.

Not because neuroinclusion is a new direction for Nook.

Quite the opposite.

We get asked this more than you might think: “Is Nook really all you guys do?”

Yep. It is. We make Nook.

And neuroinclusive design is not a separate initiative or something we added later. It is foundational to Nook.

People don’t all work the same way. Some concentrate best with activity around them. Others need less noise, fewer distractions or a little separation. And even the most social person in the office needs somewhere quiet to get something done every now and then.

Nook creates another choice within a workplace.

It can be somewhere to focus on a deadline, meet with a colleague, take a video call, reset between meetings or simply get a little space from everything happening around you. Importantly, it does that without removing someone completely from the workplace around them.

That matters when we talk about neuroinclusive design.

A neuroinclusive workplace is not about creating one designated space for one designated group of people. It is about recognizing that attention, sensory needs, communication styles and working preferences vary from person to person, and can vary for the same person throughout the day.

Giving people more choice in where and how they work is part of that.

That is why being part of Neuroplaces felt like such a natural fit. The event brought together organizations looking seriously at how workplaces can better support different needs, rather than expecting everyone to adapt to one standard environment.

Nook has been working on one small piece of that puzzle from the beginning.

We only make Nook.

And we’re proud of that.
